If you’re looking for a perfect cottage
holiday – Wales has it all: lush green hilltops abundant with
fields of flowers that are entwined with gentle streams and rivers
that trickle down from the tops of the surrounding mountains. In the
south of Wales you’ll encounter some superb beaches that are
perfect for younger families and reminiscent of traditional summer
holidays for the older generation. Pembrokeshire in particular has
long been a favourite destination for holidaymakers due to its unspoilt
coastline that is preserved as a national park. Much of Wales’s
diverse landscape in the north and central areas of the country is
mountainous and provides spectacular views over the countryside and
great opportunities for walking and mountain biking. Wales is also
home to some magnificent medieval architecture including the stunning
Caernarfon castle which is a world heritage site and home to the museum
of the Royal Welch Fusiliers. Wales is easily accessible via motorways
for UK residents and is a wonderful retreat for those that want to
take a short romantic break or enjoy a cottage holiday in the summer. |
