After the tragic events in south east Asia
last Christmas Thailand is slowly recovering and has started to welcome
back holidaymakers to some of the resorts that were most badly affected
in that area. It’s very important that we as holidaymakers support
Thailand’s economy that heavily relies upon tourism as its main
source of income. Thailand is full of character and different cultures
– this is most apparent in the capital Bangkok. The city of
Bangkok combines both a modern and traditional ideology and is rich
in fabulous architecture including intricately designed Buddhist temples
and palaces. The city also features an elaborate chain of canals which
are still widely used to carry out trading and are surrounded by houses
on stilts which are home to many residents of this area.
The main beach resorts and numerous exotic islands off the coast of
the mainland are best described as a tropic paradise. The sandy beaches
decorated with palm trees and pristine clear blue waters create an
unforgettable experience in one of the most desirable holiday resorts
in the world. |
