The island of Cyprus lies towards the east
of the Mediterranean Sea and is in close proximity to the countries
of Greece and Turkey which have strongly influenced the customs and
the culture of this small island. Cyprus enjoys a warm climate with
a bountiful supply of sunlight throughout the year which appeals to
holidaymakers from throughout Europe - especially during the summer!
The island has a host of safe, attractive beaches in the seven main
regions of the country which provide a large range of beach activities
to families of all ages including water-skiing, windsurfing, scuba-diving
and jet-skiing. As you move away from the beaches and into the centre
of the island you are greeted with a scenic image of rolling hillsides,
mountains, waterfalls, forests and rustic villages. We highly recommend
that you explore this area of the island on a mountain bike to find
all the glorious, secluded areas of this island which can be inaccessible
to cars and are quiet and free from a large number of tourists. |
