This detached holiday home which sleeps 6 people comfortably, has three bedrooms, one double master bedroom with ensuite shower room and WC. Two other twin bedrooms share a fully furnished bathroom with a WC and an over bath shower. All rental prices include linen and towels for the duration of your stay.

The beamed living/dining room has a dining table for six and a music centre for easy listening. There are two settees and armchairs for comfortable viewing of the TV with the extensive DVD library provided. There is a modern corner kitchen as well which is kitted out with a gas hob, mini electric oven, microwave, fridge plus utensils, cutlery and crockery.

From this ground floor area the french doors lead to a terrace and a small lawned garden with charming views across the countryside. Off the terrace is a cave adjacent to the cottage which houses a gas BBQ and patio furniture for use on the terrace, a washing machine and a freezer.

The terrace also leads off to a newly installed private swimming pool (7m x 3.5m) with it’s own fenced non-slip patio area and childproof gate lock which was built for the 2004 season. At night the pool can be floodlit. Please be aware that the pool is non-shared and therefore is for the sole use of the duration of your stay at Milan Noir.

There is also private off road parking for three cars and arrive any time key collection system via digital code access. Please note that you can arrive at the property from 4pm onwards on the start date of your holiday rental and leave by 10am on date of departure.

The house has electric water heating and is also fitted with a fire extinguisher, fire blanket and a smoke/carbon monoxide detector. The gîte is 1km from the local bakery, bar, village shop and 8km from the nearest restaurants and supermarket.

Milan Noir is located in the Perigord Vert, on the northern border of the Dordogne with the Charente. This 3 bedroom stone built detached house has lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Located 1 km from La Rochebeaucourt which has amenities such as a bakery, village shop, post office and a bar. The house is ideally situated to reach the towns of Verteillac (17km), Riberac (28k), Aubeterre sur Dronne (38k), Brantome (24k) and the capital city of the Dordogne (Perigueux, 44k) and the Charente (Angouleme, 29k).

In this region the National Park stretches from here right up to the Limousin area. This sets the area aside as one of outstanding beauty and diversity. There are scores of activities such as walking, cycling, canoeing, golfing, bird watching and horse riding to cater for all individuals. Although the house is ideal if you want a relaxing away from it all vacation. There is an information pack in the gîte which will help you to plan any activities that you would like to participate in during your stay. It is also a good base for house hunters looking to buy property in the Dordogne, Charente and Limousin areas.

Local gastronomy includes cuisine du canard, goose and walnuts. The area particularly around Vergt is the home of the Strawberry and it features the largest specialised market in France. Don't forget to take the opportunity to visit the many vineyards in and around Bergerac.

We are easy to get to, being served by several local airports for fly drive; Bergerac airport is approximately an hour's (80 km) drive away. Close too are Bordeaux, Poitiers, and Limoges airports. Or you can make the trip from the ferries as Caen is just over 300 miles, and Calais is 480 miles.
