Villa Cabanes description

Large swimming pool with plenty of terrace space with sun loungers, tables and sun umbrellas

Spacious open floor plan over 2 floors caters to large groups without feeling crowded.

Relax by the pool, have a barbecue, and live 'al fresco'.

Villa can accommodate up to 12 guests. It is suitable for 2 families or a large group. The ground floor can be completely closed off from the 1st floor. The villa can be rented as 2 single units or in its entirety.

There are 2 full separate kitchens and 2 lounge areas with satellite TVs over 2 floors. There is Wi-Fi thru out the villa. There is spectacular Naya on the 1st floor with traditional Tosca arches. It has unbelievable views of Montgo and can be used year-round. The ground floor has 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and is wheelchair accessible. The 1st floor has an additional 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine.

The swimming pool is large - 12 meters x 5 meters (most are 8x4) – with steps down to the pool. The private pool is not fenced and the depth is between 1 to 2 meters so parents must be careful with young children and non-swimmers. The pool area gets all day sun only disappearing at the end of the day. Around the large private swimming pool there is plenty of terrace with sun loungers, tables and sun umbrellas. There is a built-in BBQ with outdoor tables and chairs on terraces in the back and side garden for al fresco dining.

There are screens for mosquitoes on all windows as well as an alarm system linked to a central control. There is an intercom from the main gate to the house with off-street parking for 6 cars.

Villa Cabanes is located close to the center of the coastal town of Javea in the Spanish countryside. Our villa offers a serene oasis surrounded by orange, cherry and olive groves. Just a few minutes away by car you’ll find 12 beaches, several natural parks and reserves, 9- and 18-hole golf courses, top cycling routes, tennis courts, horse-riding facilities, water sports, restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets and much more to make this vacation unforgettable.

There are also plenty of casual and fine-dining restaurants nearby with three within walking distance of the villa and many more located in either El Arenal or Harbor area of Javea. There are 5 different supermarkets down the road if you choose to cook. Most of these supermarkets are opened on Sundays. The kitchens are fully-equipped with plenty of cooking gear, appliances, fridges and freezers, microwaves and dishwashers. There is an outside BBQ area with both gas and charcoal grills.

All bath towels and bedding linen changed once a week. Beach/Pool towels are included for the stay. Cots and high chairs are available.

Rental rates include meet and greet (4pm - 8.30pm), all utilities including the air-conditioning and heating in the winter, all linen including beach towels, cleaning on arrival and departure, and welcome pack. We are happy to arrange for optional mid stay cleaning and a later meet and greet if required. Excessive use of the air-conditioning and heating will carry an excess charge of 20 cents per unit, deducted from the deposit. Normal use of the air-conditioning and heating is included in the rental rates.

The Javea, Moraira & Denia area - Costa Blanca & Alicante region

Located close to the center of the coastal town of Javea in the Spanish countryside our villa offers a serene oasis surrounded by orange, cherry and olive groves. Just a few minutes away by car you’ll find 12 beaches, several natural parks and reserves, 9- and 18-hole golf courses, top cycling routes, tennis courts, horse-riding facilities, water sports, restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets and much more to make this vacation unforgettable. Towering in front of the villa is Montgo National park, which from its summit offers spectacular views. There is a huge range of walks, from strenuous climbs to the top of the Montgo to less demanding walks on the lower slopes. Coastal path walks have wonderful views and sometimes Ibiza can be seen. The local Javea Tourist Board often organizes guided walks of the surrounding area, including the wonderful Old Town. A little further away in Benidorm you’ll find some of the best water and amusement parks available in the Mediterranean.

Javea, a seaside town, is situated on the most easterly point of Mainland Spain at the northern end of the Costa Blanca, approximately 100 km from Valencia and Alicante, with their international airports. The coastline has scenic rocky coves, natural parks, wonderful beaches and dramatic cliffs. Javea owes its appeal to both location and to its unique climate, lying as it does, at the foot of the Montgo Mountain which, rising to some 753 meters above sea level, separates Javea from the bustling town of Denia. The mountain is a national park hosting a splendid variety of vegetation and providing a magnificent panorama of Javea from its summit. Montgo also acts as a natural protection against continental winds. Javea has been voted 'environmentally near perfect' by the World Health Organization and boasts 320 days of sunshine a year! The climate is good throughout the year, being mild in the winter (12C / 55F on average in January) and pleasantly hot in the summer (26 C / 80F on average in July).

Javea is divided into 3 areas: the Old Town with narrow cobbled streets and white washed houses, the fishing port and marina and the El Arenal sandy beach, with promenade, shops, bars and restaurants. The old town has many historical buildings set along narrow winding streets that all seem to lead to the Church and Market Square at the centre. The port area is home to a local fishing fleet and a modern marina. It has evolved into a trendy lunch and dinner destination with its waterfront restaurants and cafe bars. Behind the beautiful sandy beach at Arenal is another wide choice of supermarkets (many of which are open on Sundays), boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants. All of the above is within a 10 min drive from the villa.

Places of interest and tourist attractions: There are many places of interest in and around Javea. Denia can be reached by road or by glass bottom boat from Javea port. It has a 17th century castle, a large port where ferries sail to the Balearic island of Ibiza, a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The 16th century historic Moorish town of Guadalest is perched high on a mountain and is reached by a gateway through the rock. Nearby you can swim in the cool waters of the Fuentes del Algar.

The beautiful city of Valencia with its historic buildings, museums and wonderful shopping centers is only 1 hour away. Valencia is famous for its festivals. Las Fallas, the fire festival, is a weeklong festival held in March. Alicante has a 16th century fortified castle, Castillo de Santa Barbara, overlooking the town. The nearby coastal resorts of Moraira and Calpe are well worth a visit. Also close to the Villa are the beautiful vineyards and almond groves of the Jalon Valley, Cactuslandia with lovely gardens full of all varieties of cactus or the famous Caves of Canelobre.

Other attractions include the Vergel Safari Park, where you can see the lions and tigers roaming in complete freedom along with the leopards, jaguars, Iberian wolves and primates, Terra Mitica, roller-coaster and amusement park with some of the biggest rides in Europe, Aqualandia water park with slides and flumes, Mundomar, marine and exotic animal park near Benidorm, which is only 30 minutes from the Villa.


Golf: The Villa is approximately 15 minutes from the Olazabal designed La Sella golf club and Marriott hotel complex including a health spa, within 10 minutes from Javea Golf Club and within one hour from the Robert Trent-Jones designed El Bosque Golf Club, the Ballasteros designed Oliva Nova Golf Club and the famous Bonalba course and complex. Recently opened is the magnificent La Galera course, one of the most beautiful in Spain. The weather for golf is perfect for most of the year, although July & August can be very hot in the middle of the day. Buggies are available at all these courses. It is advisable to bring along your handicap certificate, as this is sometimes asked for and all the courses have a dress code

Walks: There is a huge range of walks, from strenuous climbs to the top of the Montgo to less demanding walks on the lower slopes. The villa has 6 double bedrooms. The ground floor has 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and is wheelchair accessible. The first floor has an additional 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms.

Each floor has a Master Bedroom with newly renovated en suite bathroom. Both have walk-in showers. The other 4 bedrooms have twin beds. Two of these bedrooms can be converted into a large double bed. This needs to be requested at the time of booking. The 4 single bedrooms share two renovated family bathrooms with a bath / shower.

Baby cots and high chairs are available.

All the bedrooms are amply equipped with built in wardrobes and drawer space. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned but individually controlled. There are screens for mosquitoes on all windows.

Bathrooms

In 2011 a solar hot water system was installed. There is a 500L water tank. There is a timer on the system that ensures there is sufficient hot water every morning at 6am. In the event there is less than 500L the electric hot water will generate hot water. Guests will never be without hot water!
Bathroom 1 was completely renovated. It is located next to the first floor Master Bedroom.It has a large walk-in shower.
Bathroom 2 was completely renovated. It has a shower / bath combination and is located on the first floor.
Bathroom 3 was completely renovated. It is located next to the ground floor Master Bedroom. It has a large walk-in shower.
Bathroom 4 is in great condition. It has a shower / bath combination and is located on the ground floor.
Bathroom 5 can be easily accessed when using the pool. It is a complete bathroom including shower with hot and cold water.
There is also an outdoor shower with cold water.

Lounge

Seating for 10 people

There are two lounges; one on each floor. Both lounges come with large plasma TVs. The lounge on the ground floor opens up directly onto the pool. The lounge on the first floor is next to the large serre. The serre also includes a sitting with large windows facing Montgo.

Kitchen

Seating for 4 people

There is a terrace off the first floor kitchen which also has dining arrangements. There is a table with seating for six. The terrace is partially covered in case of rain.

The kitchen on the ground floor has additional seating for 4 people.

Dining room

There are two dining rooms; one on each floor. The dining room on the first floor is located in the serre / naya and can seat 12. The dining area on the ground floor seats six.

There is outside dining available. There are two tables that sit 6 people as well as a smaller table close to the BBQ area which seats 4 people.

There is a terrace off the first floor kitchen which also has dining arrangements. There is a table with seating for six. The terrace is partially covered in case of rain.

There is a game room located on the ground floor. The game room was a Wii with approximately 10 game DVDs and table football (Foosball) which can be converted into six other games including air hockey. It also has a DVD player along with an extensive DVD film collection of children films all multilingual.

A deposit of 25% is required to confirm the booking. Balance payable 6 weeks before the start date. A damage retainer of €300 will be added to the total cost of your booking. This will be refunded within 14 days of departure subject to no damage in respect of the property. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. We can also receive payment in USD or GBP, if preferred, at the prevailing exchange rate.

Saturday to Saturday bookings. Access to the villa after 4:00pm on day of arrival, villa should be vacated by 10:00am on day of departure. Bookings for two weeks will receive a 12.5% discount on 2nd week.

All towels and bedding linen changed once a week. Beach/Pool towels not included. Cot and high chair are available.
