The Nazare - Costa de Prata (Silver Coast) region
The villa is located in Silver Coast, a region rich diverse, with a mild climate and plenty of contrasting landscapes. The extensive coastline, which houses many wide sandy beaches, flows into the languor of green fields sown between hills and valleys.
The coastal strip between the beaches S. Pedro de Moel and Nazaré have a great visual quality, including extensive beaches to lose sight of beaches and cliffs between theembedded, preceded by dunes and cliffs of variable height and build. It is in this context that one finds the very valley of embedded walls that leads to the wide beach of Walls.
In the coastal strip between S. Pedro de Moel and Walls Victory is possible to observe the Lower Jurassic age rocks (200 million years) since the period Hetangiano to the LowerToarcian.
It is visible on the cliffs of the coast a sequence of marly rocks and limestone-marly, darkcolor, rich in organic matter and very rich in fossils (ammonites, bivalves and fish). The cliffs that extend S. Pedro de Moel up the walls of Victoria have been found fossil remains,including a piece of a jaw of a Lusitanaussaurus (armored dinosaur family of Estegossaurus). Mine's up Azeiche Leaky Valley, a distance of 2 km, are visible outcropsof the Lower and Upper Cretaceous (65 to 145 million years) and the Tertiary. Integratefluvial sandstones, limestones and conglomerates, found some fossils of reptiles and mammals in the sandstones. Although these cliffs is possible to identify several geologicalpetrographic and chemical anomalies that may indicate the impact of a meteorite (300 kmto the west, in the ocean).
The climate results from the Mediterranean and Atlantic influences. A Mediterranean influence is felt predominantly in the summer and is associated with high temperatures and sunshine to an almost total lack of rain.
