Santa Clara description
House retaining Portuguese character and charm comfortably furnished throughout and well equipped for a self catering holiday.
On the banks of the Rio Alva with lovely views to the mountains. 200m to River Beach.
Close to all amenities with street cafes, restaurants etc.
This charming holiday property in Coja was renovated in 2006 keeping many original features such as the converted wine cellar with stone walls and wooden beams that is now the kitchen and the old wood windows and shutters..
The garden is walled and private with views across the river and a small patio with BBQ and wooden dining furniture.
The living room is comfortably furnished with satellite TV and books and games for your entertainment. A door opens onto a balcony where you can soak up the last of the days sun.
There are 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Parking is off road at the front of the house.

The Coimbrao - Costa de Prata (Silver Coast) region
Coja is an ancient market town with restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, shops,bank,chemist and river beach. It is situated in the heart of Central Portugal and retains a country market town feel with locals and tourists mixing together quite happily. The river beach is popular and it is safe to swim here. There are lots of other river beaches to explore along the banks of the Rio Alva.
Arganil is approx. 10kms and has 2 lorge supermarkets and a greater selection of shops and restaurants. During the summer months some kind of music or dance is put on for your entertainment in the main square on a Saturday evening.
Coimbra is one of the oldest European university cities and worth a visit just to wander through the narrow cobbled streets and is approx. 40kms.
The Serra de Estrela approx. 50kms. and is the highest mountain in Portugal. Ther is skiing in the winter and in the summer it is worth the drive just for the views!
