The Massa Carrara Area - Tuscany region
La Pineta is well situated for visiting the surrounding area. Lunigiana is the unspoilt area of Tuscany with wonderful scenery at every turn. Although the motorway network is only 20 minutes away, the local train service from Pieve San Lorenzo provides a reliable and cheap travel alternative for trips to Lucca, Florence and Pisa.
The coast is 40 minutes drive and Lerici and San Terenzo are delightful resorts to visit.
The area around La Pineta is a walker's paradise and there are also numerous excellent local restaurants.
There is a bar about 100 metres from the house and in Casola you will find a bank, post office garage and local shops.
