El Mono Feliz Hotel is situated in a beautiful tropical garden (4 acres) full of flowers, trees and birds in the village of Ojochal, on a walking distance of excellent restaurants**** and supermarket. The cosy wooden cabañas are situated in the shade of palm trees and are fully equiped with ventilators, a kitchen, queen size bed and one of them also with two single beds.
The cabañas is available for short-term rental .
We also have anfully equiped apartment available for long term rent, please contact us for details.
El Mono Feliz is a starting-point for all kinds of activities: enjoying the tropical beaches and natural beauty in the different national parks, horseback riding, visiting the most beautiful waterfalls in Costa Rica, canoeing at see or on the river, boattrips in the mangroves, sea-fishing on a boat, discovering the underwater world while snorkelling or scuba diving, a boat trip to one of the islands off the coast, in short: there are a lot of opportunities to discover the country! The Dutch owners will be happy to help you planning your trips in order to give you an unforgettable holiday!
From the airport in San José to Ojochal is now a 3,5 hour drive, taking the Autopista del Sol (toll road) to Caldera and then the Costanera to Jacó, Quepos, Dominical, Ojochal.
From Quepos to Ojochal is 60 minutes.

Famous Puntarenas attractions
In the early morning you drive to Sierpe, from where you navigate by boat on the river Sierpe with its mangroves. Then you cross part of the the ocean to San Pedrillo Ranger Station at Corcovado National Park. Once there the guide will take you on a 3 hour hike through the park.
Departure in Uvita at 08.00 a.m. and 01.30 p.m. A 3 to 4 hour ocean trip, spotting whales and dolphins, including snorkling near Isla Ballena. The whales are mostly seen in the periods: Aug-Nov and Febr-April.
wA trip of 2 or 3 hours through the mangroves of the river Sierpe. You can spot 3 kinds of monkeys, crocodiles, caimans, sloths, birds etc.
The Canopy has 11 cables, one cable is longer than half a kilometer and the shortest of 91 meters, 16 platforms all with a beautiful ocean- and mountainview.
Visit the village of Buruca where the native people of Costa Rica live. They make wonderful masks and woven cloth in natural colours. Ask us for details!
