If you are looking for a unique tropical Hawaiian vacation this is the spot. Feel the aloha spirit in the Penthouse Ohana, a super cute 1-bedroom 1-bath cottage which sleeps four people with the use of a futon sleeper. Live like the locals in this private cottage with peak ocean views from the kitchen window, grass yard and small lanai. This cottage was completed in 1999, and we are always updating the Island Style decor. Some of the cottage features are solid teak furniture from Bali, 40" flat screen TV, wi-fi Internet Access, ipod docing and player, dvd player, fully equipped modern kitchen, full bathroom including tub, washer/dryer, beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels. Enjoy the sun set while barbequing fresh Ahi Tuna in the large, tropical back yard. This cottage is located in a very quiet South Kihei residential neighborhood, within walking distance to Cove Park and Charley Young Beach (150 yards). Cove Park is the best surf spot in Kihei. It's great for beginners who rent surf boards and take lessons right at the park. Charley Young Beach is a local beach at the begining of Kamaole Beach Park I. Snorkel around the right point to see Turtles, Needle Fish and other marine life. Swimming, body boarding, wake boarding and sunbathing are good towards the left. Walk two blocks in either direction on South Kihei Road and enjoy shopping, many different restaurants and bars, other sporting activities, local swap meets and grocery stores. Even a movie Theatre and Starbucks! Enjoy the community swimming pool just one mile north.
