Sac Nicte description
Three mayan-style casitas with palapa roofs, and a large pool filled with sparkling well water, set in extensive tropical gardens.
Unique opportunity to experience life in a mayan village. Sleep in hammocks like the mayans do.
In the heart of the cenote zone and close to archaeological sites of Acanceh and Mayapan
Sac Nicte consists of three mayan-style casitas and a large swimming pool, set in extensive tropical gardens, and is rented in its entirety so you can enjoy living in the privacy and security of your own compound, just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village.
The casa principal, or main house, has a fully equipped kitchenette, with table-top cooker, refrigerator, and cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. It also has the dining area, and space to hang two hammocks.

The bathroom casita has a shower/tub with hot running water, WC and hand basin.
Sac Nicte is located in the village of Chunkanan, in the heart of the cenote zone of the Yucatan. A cenote is a sacred mayan underground lake, and you can visit the cenotes (also known as the cenotes of Cuzama) by taking a horse-drawn truck from the centre of the village. The Yucatan - Yucatan (Mayan Riviera) region
Sac Nicte is located in the village of Chunkanan, in the heart of the cenote zone of the Yucatan. A cenote is a sacred underground lake, and you can visit the cenotes by horse-drawn truck from the centre of the village. The tour lasts around three hours, and you go deep into the mayan jungle, and visit three cenotes. You can climb down via secure steps into each cave where you will find amazing stone formations and stalactites, and turquoise water. You can swim in the cenotes which are lit by rays of sunshine which enter through a hole in the roof. There are many other lesser known cenotes in the area, and we have a guide who can show you cenotes in the nearby villages of Homun and Sabacche. Within an easy drive are the fascinating mayan archaeological sites of Acanceh and Mayapan.

Although the bedroom details indicate there are 4 double beds, in fact at Sac Nicte we have no beds; we sleep in large matrimonial size hammocks, just like the mayans.
