Sereno - Bellavallone description

Nestled in 5 acres of beautiful Le Marche countryside

Lovingly restored with breathtaking views

Close to great restaurants, hilltop towns, and fantastic scenery

Voted the Number 1 rental property by Trip Advisor in San Ginesio (voted one of the most beautiful towns in Italy), our lovely cottage has incredible views across the Le Marche countryside. Cottage Sereno is roomy enough for a family of four, or snug enough for a romantic couples break away. Set in its own wonderful space amid the restored Country Hideaway of Bella Vallone, guests can enjoy privacy, but have the added bonus of friendly owners in a nearby house who are on hand to help with reservations or local knowledge.

We are located on what is known as the 'Shelf of the Sibillini' and you can be in the middle of the fabulous Sibilini National Park in ten minutes. We are 5 minutes from four superb hilltop towns, each with their own unique charm, architecture, bars and restaurants. Within twenty minutes you can be in the famous University town of Macerata and a further ten minutes will see you on the Adriatic coast.

The cottage was completely rebuilt to the highest standards four years ago and downstairs you will find a very spacious sitting room with it's own dining space. There are large double doors both front and rear providing breathtaking views across the valley and giving you lots of light. Off the lounge is a beautifully and fully equipped kitchen with a sunny outdoor terrace to make the most of those lovely Italian mornings and stunning sunsets! The cottage has a bathroom with washbasin, toilet, walk-in shower and a supply of shower gel, soap and toilet rolls to get you going. We supply lots of fluffy towels and dressing gowns too...

Upstairs the cottage has two spacious bedrooms, one master bedroom with a large comfortable kingsize country style bed with super comfy feather mattress toppers. There is lots of storage and hanging space, and every room has luxury linens and cosy dressing gowns. The second bedroom has two single beds and both rooms offer stunning views across the valley. The cottage has air conditioning throughout , and if you visit in the winter you will find the central heating is ideal.

While the inside is stunning, the outside has it all too. A sunny patio for alfresco dining with tables, chairs and umbrellas. The cottage has private gardens on all sides and plenty of space to soak up the simply magnificent views in all directions. There are lots of lovely walks around the cottage, so Cottage Sereno is ideal for those who enjoy gentle walks in the countryside. At night you can soak up the sunset and star gaze in one of the most romantic settings.

Cottage Sereno can be a place to relax and enjoy the peace of this wonderful setting, or it can be used as base for a multitude of wonderful things to do or interesting places to visit in the area. Walking, cycling and visiting many of the Roman and Medieval ruins that pop up all over Le Marche will provide guests with many options during their stay at the cottage.

We can also organise a range of activities from gentle walks through to hot air ballooning, truffle hunting to horse riding, quad biking to birdwaching, ccokery courses and wine tasting. All activities are managed by professionally qualified experts. Skiing is available only twenty minutes away. There also many shopping opportunities available, especially shoes and handbags, and many discount outlets are within a twenty minute drive from Bellavallone.

Eating out is a pleasure and cooking in the Marche is deeply rooted in the peasant tradition (cucina povera) and is remains impervious to the arrival of frozen bastoncini di pesce (fish fingers). Here the home cook, rather than the professional chef rules, and even the smartest restaurants seek to produce food just like Nona, or grandmother, used to make. Eating and drinking is superb value and the quality overall is exceptional. We can offer guidance on local restaurants and make bookings on your behalf.

The Marcerata - Marche region

Welcome to Bella Val'lone, our lovingly restored Italian Country properties in the heart of Le Marche, Italy. Le Marche is one of the greenest, most scenic and relaxing places in Italy and is still seen as a 'secret' by many. Why not visit before the 'secret' gets out?

Those in the know head for Le Marche, which along with Umbria and Tuscany, forms the central region of Italy. Le Marche is situated in the east of the Italian peninsula, and sits between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine mountains. While the Adriatic coast is well known for its many excellent beaches, the interior remains unspoiled by tourism and you will find towns and villages where the pressures of modern life seem worlds away.

Le Marche is a virtual treasure chest, rich in history, bursting with nature, art, folklore, and culinary traditions. Here you will find incredibly picturesque hill-top towns and villages enjoying panoramic views of lush, verdant valleys.

Renaissance palazzos and beautiful churches with fine works of art appear around every corner, and watching the impact of the changes in seasons on the mountainous countryside is a phenomenal experience and a privilege. Italy of course is well known for its wide and deep sense of culture and history. Le Marche is a major contributor to that, and within the region there are several prehistoric settlements, roman ruins and so forth. There are some 3000+ years of history and various sites provide evidence of prehistoric human Palaeolithic and Neolithic settlements. There are settlements of the Picena, Roman and Barbaric civilisations, fifty-seven historical town centres (Centri Storici), with countless abbeys, castles and fortresses, patrician villas, some seventy plus art galleries and both archaeological and ‘theme’ museums, all of which play their part in preserving the rich history for today's visitors.

Ten Good Reasons To Visit Le Marche!

•Enjoy scenery that is straight out of 'La Dolce Vita'

•Awaken to bird song and goat bells

•Enjoy incredible food and wine

•Discover ancient history

•Wind down from the pressure of everyday life

•Enjoy the best of country and sea

•Breathe in an air of pure tranquillity

•Soak up local feste (festivals)

•Browse and shop at local markets and high quality, brand-name outlets

•Practise your Italian among the friendliest of folk
