A divine French country cottage with stunning kitchen and beautiful bedrooms, finished in the old style with beams and stone but with all the modern facilities required for a comfortable stay. The garden has a pool and toys/cots for children if needed.
Surrounded by fields the cottage offers a private space for a tranquil holiday but within 5 minutes (by car) of two bastide towns, which offer night markets, restaurants, cafes and shopping for those who wish for a little more excitement. In July the area is full of spectacular sunflowers. The area is very flat so excellent for walking and cycling.
Close to Bergerac ( 40 mins by car and Bordeaux 1.10min by car) airports.
Gourdin Ouest is a charming country cottage. It is surrounded by farmland and has a view out the back through woods to the river 'drop'. It is beautifully restored and retains many old features such as original beams and interior stone walls. Accommodation comprises:
•Five bedrooms: 3 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms.( possibility of two extra beds)
•3 modern bathrooms (one with shower, one with bath and one with both).
•The open plan living area/kitchen is enormous and has it's own TV and sofa area and a hand made wooden breakfast table with a view to the pool and garden.
Outside
The garden is secluded and very pretty with a pool and large table under shady trees. A tranquil, rustic setting. There are two beautiful tabby resident cats.
Changeover day is Saturday
