Charming apartment, perfect for a couple, in typical Florentine style located beyond the romantic Arno River in the lesser known district of San Frediano, near the famous “Carmine Church”. This part of Florence is, no doubt, authentic! Home of the most important antique stores of the city, it’s about 10 minutes walking distance from the Central train station of Santa Maria Novella.
Our apartment is on the first floor of a historic house overlooking a typical and lively road with many stores, restaurants, cafés and wine bars. There is no lift in the building.
Completely and tastefully restored in 2006 with terracotta floors, wooden beams and cast iron, the apartment includes an entrance hall, a cosy and large living room with a sofa-bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, a loft with a kingsize bed and a private bathroom with shower. It can comfortably sleep up to 2 guests.
The apartment offers a full range of modern facilities such as airconditioning, heater, TV, fridge with small freezer, microwave, dishes, pots & pans, glasses & cutlery, coffee maker and a washing machine.

History of Florence 59 A.D. – 1185 the medieval Common was established.
Of Latin origin, the name of the town is Florentia.
Florence became the venue of the Council called by Pope Victor II (Vittore II) in 1055 from which the first solemn decrees were issued against the Church’s malaise, becoming a place of refuge for those opposing Pope Benedict IX (Benedetto IX). The religious movement mixed extensively with the political one: it was in this climate that the Florentine Common was established under the guidance of the middle and lower aristocracy.
