The Cilento is a stunning area of Italy which is where the Italians holiday!!
The location is conveniently and strategically situated for sightseeing.
Great food and wine, many restaurants, all reasonably priced.
The apartment is situated on the lower level of a lovely newly renovated detached villa in a private park. It offers a small private terrace, garden area, sea view. It is comfortably and simply furnished and is perfect for all year round holidays. The location of the villa is situated in a lovely green / peaceful environment but conveniently and strategically located for sight seeing. Less than one km. to the nearest beach but car is necessary. It is only a few minutes drive to the nearest supermarket, bars, restaurants, town.
Agropoli is a picturesque seaside town with plenty of nice beaches, lovely squares, piazzas, large harbours, train station, nightclubs and plently of economical restaurants, cafes etc. It is extremely well connected. It has an ancient Byzantine past with an imposing castle, beautiful churches, and an old medieval quarter.
Easily accessible to visit many places of importance i.e. Paesturm (ancient Temples) the stunning Cilento Coast comprising the Cilento National Park which is a Unesco protected area with its many beautiful towns and villages. Vannulo the famous buffalo mozzarella farm is only about 10 minutes drive away. It is an ideal starting point to visit the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Pompeii, Capri etc. Regular boat trips in summer. Infact on a clear day, Capri can be seen in the distance from the villa.

The Salerno area (Amalfi Coast) - Campania region
These are comfortable sea view / centrally heated apartments situated in a private detached villa in a beautiful private park and offer a stress free environment. There is a choice of a two bedroomed or one bedroomed apt. The apartments are slightly lower level. Although not air conditioned these apartments are naturally cool - you could say natural air conditioning! Each apartment has it's own equipped terrace and share of garden, with lovely views. Each apt. also has an external shower for cooling off! in the summer months. It is a beautiful stress free environment, just 700 metres from the nearest sandy beach but you are spoilt for choice as there are many beaches to choose from.
There are many beaches nearby and only 5 minutes or so by car to Agropoli Town centre, with it's many restaurants, bars, shops etc.
It is also a great spot for those who like walking, although a car is necessary for convenience. It is possible to walk to the nearest beach and also to the shops but a car is definitely necessary. There is a small well equipped supermarket just a few minutes drive from the villa. It is 5-10 minutes drive approx. to Agropoli Town Centre with its many bars and restaurants. Although there are other shops etc. enroute. Also if you are a cyclist and would like to consider a cycling holiday with planned routes and assistance we can put you in touch with a local business who can arrange this.
Sea, sun, mountains, countryside, tradition, culture, history, excellent food and night life as well as the peace and quiet of the surrounding nature make an attractive combination inviting you to visit Agropoli. There is plenty to do and see and is an ideal base for excursions to Capri, Naples, Pompeii, Caserta and the coasts of Sorrento, Amalfi and Cilento.
Nearby is Paestum for the ancient temples and the famous buffalo farm for mozzarella is also a short drive away. Excursions to the Cilento area and Amalfi / Sorrento Coast are available. Area is great for walks, cycling, water sports etc.
Quiet and peaceful and easily accessible yet within easy access to visit many places of importance i.e. Paestum (ancient Temples) the stunning Cilento Coast comprising the Cilento National Park which is Unesco protected with many beautiful towns and villages. Vannulo the famous organic buffalo mozzarella farm is situated only about 10 minutes drive from the villa. Here you can take a guided tour and or purchase superb mozzarella, ricotta and yogurt produced daily. Vannulo only produce products from their own herds of buffalo's.
It is an ideal starting point to visit the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Pompei, Capri etc. Regular ferrys in the summer. Agropoli (Greek -meaning high town) is a very picturesque town with lovely squares and piazzas, large harbours, nightclubs, plenty of economical and excellent restaurants. It has an ancient Byzantine past with an imposing castle, beautiful churches and an old medieval quarter. The quality of the locally produced food is excellent with many small family run specialist shops producing, home made gnocchi, pastas, breads etc. Locally grown vegetables / local wines and olive coils mean that you can dine at home al fresco the Italian way.
