Premantura is surrounded by nature not many places can boast of. South of the town is Cape Kamenjak – a protected landscape 9.5 km long, 1.5 km wide, with altogether 30 km of indented coastline.
No place in the world is the sea so blue-green, so clean as here at the southernmost tip of Istria. There are plenty of rocky beaches, as well as pebbly coves. On a relatively small area there are 530 plant species and among them 20 orchid species, some of which are endemic. For this reason there are no campsites on this cape, hotels or any other type of structures.
