Cala Figuera: The real Mallorca

Arriving at Cala Figuera, you can feel immediately that this is an ideal place to enjoy the peacefulness and the surrounding nature. It is a small village, maintaining its sailing ambient, which grows around a beautiful natural cove. In this village, we can visit the small shops with their family character, or take a walk on the cliffs and surrounding trails and roads.

Very close to Cala Figuera you can find some of the most special beaches of the Southeast of the island, with paradise scenery and cristaline waters: Cala Santanyi at 2 km., Cala Llombards at 4 km., and at only 5 km., the Mondrago Natural Park.

At 15 miles down south through the sea, is the island of Cabrera. A natural park that you can visit by boat, with departures from Portopetro and the Colonia de Sant Jordi.

Cala Figuera is located in the southeast of the Island of Mallorca, approximately 55 km. from its largest urban centre, its capital Palma. It is some 50 km a 35-45 minute drive from the airport.
It is not an easy task to describe Cala Figuera because, in such a description, we should not overlook its essence and its spirit. However, we can make a start by saying that it is a small village which grew up arround its fishing port which is set in a very lovely natural cove and that, happily for us, it bears no relation to the overdeveloped, overcommercialised holiday centres which are so familiar nowadays.

Cala Figuera is the perfect holiday choice for those who enjoy the tranquility of an unspoilt natural environment, where they can explore the gentle cliffs and the enticing lanes that can be found everywhere, or take a quiet stroll in the late evening to enjoy a nightcap in the peace of uncrowded surroundings.

You will find yourself in a welcoming and simple village where the shops, bars and restaurants have a pronounced family atmosphere.

Cala Figuera is in the heart of an area sprinkled with the most delightful beaches and they can be easily reached by car or a minitrain which leaves from the village centre everyday. Other beaches are:

Cala Santanyí at 2 km.

Cala Llombards at 4 km.

The Mondragó Natural Park at 5 km.
